Iblea Ship Management invites high caliber professionals to apply for the position of Fleet Operator. The main scope of the role is to ensure that Company’s Vessels commercial obligations are smoothly executed, liaising where necessary with Masters and/or brokers and/or charterers and/or agents. Reports directly to Ops Manager.

 

Job requirements:

 

•    Ensures that fixture instructions, CP and recaps details are forwarded to all concerned parties and maintained through the CP; provides documentation and assistance to the Freight & Hire collection operation including all commercial disputes and/or claims from the charterers.

•    Provides support and assistance to Masters for commercial matters, monitor cargo planning, confirm loading plans and cargo handling and ensure that Company’s Vessels are adequately supplied for the intended voyage.

•    Monitors and analyzes daily voyage performance, including speed and consumption, weather routing etc.

•    Appoints Agents in each port remitting funds and Cash to Masters, monitors port performance including cargo loading and discharge, arranges the appointment of independent surveyors and consultants, monitors and approve all port disbursement accounts.

•    Arranges to issue and distribute instructions and advice on safety, cargo, port information, safe navigation etc., in the form of circular letters, in cooperation with the MHSQE Manager.

•    Brief and de-brief Senior Officers and evaluates Senior Officers’ performance.

•    Cooperate with the other departments to optimize all Company’s Vessels’ activities.

 

Skills/ Qualifications:

 

•    University Degree in Commercial or Marine Studies and/or Senior Officer’s License.

•    3-5 years of similar experience as Fleet Operator or 2 years+ of seagoing experience as Master Mariner with experience as Operator

•    Fluency in English

•    Adequate PC Knowledge

•    Analytical and problem-solving skills

•    Organization and communication skills
